How do I make payment?

When do I have to pick up the purchased items?
Please pick up your items every Thursday from 12pm - 8pm. If Thursdays don’t work for you, reach out to us for emergency pick-up times at hello@acornauctions.com.
Do you offer shipping or delivery?
At this time, we are pick-up only. We are excited at the possibility for shipping and delivery in the future.
What is your return policy on all auctioned items?
Once the auction ends and payment is made, the sale is final. On-site testing and inspection are available during pickup only. We carefully inspect and document all items, noting any issues with detailed descriptions and photos. Ultimately, once it leaves our doors, it becomes yours.
Item Misrepresentation: All items are sold as-is, but we want you to have a positive experience. If you find a significant issue not disclosed in the listing that affects the item's functionality, we may consider a partial or full refund at management's discretion. Returns must be requested before leaving the auction.
Can I see the items before bidding?
We do our best to detail the condition of our items. Customers have access to items at pick-up only. Please review the item description and ask questions before bidding at hello@acornauctions.com.
Item Misrepresentation: If the item is significantly not as described (e.g., the item is defective or damaged beyond what was disclosed in the listing), the buyer may be eligible for a return.
Do the discounts on the website apply to the Auction App? (Does not apply)

How does the auction work?
Discover an exciting auction experience featuring both thrilling and everyday products, at prices up to 80% off retail. Each week we host a new array of items for you to bid on from anywhere via our Acorn Auctions app. All auctions start on Thursday of each week, and end at midnight on Wednesday of the following week.
How do I download and install the app?
On your mobile device, download the Acorn Auctions app from the App Store or Google Play, create an account, and follow the prompts to register for bidding in the upcoming auction event.

How do I create an account?
Once you've downloaded the Acorn Auctions App, simply create your account by using your email address, Google account, or Apple ID.
How do I place a bid?
To bid on a lot, you must first register to bid. Follow these steps to complete the registration process:
- Log into the Acorn Auctions app.
- Tap on the auction title to access the list of lots.
- In the top right corner of the app, locate and click the green 'register to bid' button.
- Complete the email verification and enter your contact info as well as a valid form of payment.
- Browse through the items and select the one you wish to bid on.
- You can click the ‘bid’ button from the auction listing or drill into the lot details to submit a custom bid amount from the lot description, then confirm your bid.
What is the starting bid and bidding increments?
Bidding increments are as follows:
- Bids less than $20 = $1 increments
- Bids less than $60 = $2 increments
- Bids less than $200 = $5 increments
- Bids less than $500 = $10 increments
- Bids less than $1000 = $20 increments
- Bids less than $2500 = $50 increments
- Bids greater than $2500 = $1000 increments
Do items have a reserve price?
Absolutely no reserves! Every item is up for grabs with no reserve price—meaning you have the chance to score amazing deals without any minimum to be met. Don't miss out on this incredible opportunity!
Why do you ask for my credit card number to bid?
Adding a payment method is a crucial step in finalizing the registration process. This not only safeguards you as the bidder but also provides protection to the auction host against any potential fraudulent activity.
How do I cancel my bid?
Bidding on an item is a binding contract, and it's important to remember that you cannot cancel once the bid has been placed.
What is overtime bidding?
Overtime bidding is our way of preventing bid sniping to provide a fair bidding experience for all auction participants. It adds an extra five minutes to the auction for any lot you've bid on. A 60-second timer begins and resets with each new bid on that lot. If the timer runs out, the auction closes for that specific lot. Remember, this extension doesn't go beyond five minutes after the real-time auction ends.
How do I make payment? (Winning & Payments section)
The payment method that you have set as your default payment will be automatically charged at the conclusion of the auction.
How do I know if I've won?
At the close of the auction, you will see a summary in the app of both items won and items lost.
What is a Buyer’s Premium?
A 15% buyer’s premium will be added to each won lot, shown at checkout. This small fee helps us offer you great deals and cover auction costs. For more details, including state/local taxes, see our terms and conditions.
Do I have to pay taxes on items I win?
Rest assured that the local/state tax will be factored into your total when you proceed to checkout. However, if you are eligible for tax exemption, we kindly ask that you provide us with the necessary documentation beforehand. This way, we can ensure that no taxes are applied during the auction process.

How are disputes handled?
Disputes will be handled promptly and fairly. If any issues arise, please contact our customer support team at Acorn Auctions. We will work with you to resolve the matter quickly and ensure a satisfactory outcome for all parties involved. Your trust and satisfaction are our top priorities.
How are items picked up?
Please pick up your items at 7900 NW 100th Street Suite 15, KCMO 64153. We are located in the far back corner of the parking lot. Just look for the blue Acorn Sign!
Upon in-person inspection, all sales are final. Pickup arrangement is the buyer’s responsibility. If it leaves our door, it is now yours!
